Flavorful Beef in Gravy
The kids actually said they liked this, so it must be good!

Ingredients
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 pounds beef stew meat cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 10¾-ounce cans condensed cream of mushroom soup undiluted
- 1 10¾-ounce can condensed cream of celery soup undiluted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms sliced (optional)
- hot noodles or mashed potatoes
Instructions
- Place flour in a large resealable plastic bag; add beef and toss to coat.
- In a skillet, brown beef in oil.
- Transfer beef to a 5-qt. slow cooker.
- Stir in the soups, milk, and soup mix. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender. Add mushrooms for last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve over noodles or potatoes.
Notes
We use Campbell’s Healthy Choice soups and skim milk, and serve it over “No Yolks” noodles to significantly reduce the fat and cholesterol in this dish, and that’s the way the kids like it!
